Our inspiration to choose the name Surmount Ventures came from two definitions of “Surmount”. Surmount means overcome difficulties or obstacles: that’s what entrepreneurs do specially we as entrepreneur investors that want to make impact. Surmount also means “stand” or “be placed on top of”. From that position you have a better view and access to all the variables in the environment.
As entrepreneur-investors we’re looking for founders that challenge the status quo and bring ideas to life. We are open to invest across every sector where financial success creates meaningful impact. Our main focus is on companies bringing innovation with impact to their market segment and customer base.
Surmount Ventures – never satisfied!
Currently, we focus primarily on three impact themes, which include:
1. Health and Wellbeing
2. Circular Economy
3. Mobility
We primarily invest in solid companies run by motivated and experienced managers who posses entrepreneurial spirit. We look at investments with a strong niche market position, sustainable cash flow and an operating result of at least two million euro as well as ample growth opportunities (buy and build). Secondarily we invest in start- and scale ups with the same qualities as described above.
